About Dr. Vence
 

A Practice Dedicated to Innovation

Dr. Vence began his studies in dentistry as a high school and college student working summers in his father's dental laboratory. He graduated with a degree in honors biology in 1981 from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. In 1985, he received his DDS from the University of Illinois School of Dentistry at the Medical Center in Chicago. He completed a hospital residency at UCLA in 1986 with a mini-residency in temporomandibular disorders. He spent three years as an associate in a well-respected restorative practice in Irvine, California. He returned home in 1990 to start his unique style of private practice in West Dundee, Illinois. He has spent more than ten years taking hands-on workshops from some of the world's most renowned dentists and ceramists.

Committed to Excellence

Dr. Vence is the founder of the Chicago Academy of Interdisciplinary Dentofacial Therapy, a study club designed to define and promote excellence in dentistry. He has had the privilege to share his perspective before major academies, study clubs and dental groups throughout the United States. His manuscripts have been published in the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry and Practical Periodontics and Aesthetic Dentistry.

Dr. Vence is a member of the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry; American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry; American College of Dentists; Chicago Academy of Dental Research; Fox River Valley Dental Society; Milwaukee Dental Forum, and the International College of Dentists.
